Hi, I’m Jacobyne!
Welcome to The Lazy Girl’s Guide, where we believe in working smarter, not harder.
I started this blog because I was tired of productivity advice that required me to wake up at 5 am, meal prep for three hours every Sunday, and basically make self-improvement my entire personality. There had to be a better way to get your life together without losing your mind in the process.
So here we are.
What You’ll Find Here:
Real talk about adulting without the burnout. No toxic hustle culture, no “you just need to try harder” nonsense. Just practical tips for people who want results without the stress.
I write about everything from cleaning hacks that don’t take all day to money management strategies that don’t require a finance degree. From skincare routines that actually fit into your life to moving tips that won’t destroy your back (or your friendships).
My Philosophy:
- Good enough is better than perfect
- Sustainability beats intensity every time
- The lazy girl approach isn’t about being unmotivated. It’s about being strategic!
- You don’t need to have your entire life together to share what’s working for you
A Little More About Me:
I’m not a productivity guru or a lifestyle expert. I’m just someone who got tired (very early on) of feeling like adulting had to be hard all the time.
I’ve tried (and failed at) more “perfect morning routines” than I can count. I’ve bought organizational systems I never used. I’ve started ambitious projects on January 1st that were abandoned by the15th.
Sound familiar?
Somewhere along the way, I realized that the problem wasn’t me. It was the approach. We’re constantly told we need to do more, be more, hustle harder. But what if we just… didn’t?
What if we figured out what actually works for our real lives, not some idealized Instagram version? What if “good enough” was actually good enough?
That’s what this blog is about. Finding the shortcuts, the hacks, the easier ways to do things. Not because we’re lazy (though that’s a great word to reclaim), but because our time and energy are valuable and we’d rather spend them on things that matter.
What to Expect:
New posts drop every Tuesday with practical advice you can actually use. No 10-step routines. No expensive products you “have to” buy. Just honest, tested tips from someone who’s figuring it out alongside you.
Topics include:
- Productivity without the toxic hustle
- Money management for real people
- Skincare and wellness that fits into your actual routine
- Home and cleaning hacks that save time
- Self-care that doesn’t require a trust fund
- Life tips for sustainable improvement
I’m still figuring a lot of this stuff out, and that’s okay. We’re all just doing our best out here.
